CARLOS VALDERRAMA

Carlos Alberto Valderrama Palacio was born September 2, 1961 in Santa Marta, Colombia, also called as El Pibe, is a playmaker Colombian Footballer. His mass of blond, permed hair made him one of Colombia's most recognisable football player. Valderrama captained the Colombia National Football team in the 1990s during the 1990, 1994 and 1998 World Cups. Between 1985 til 1998 he represented Colombia in 111 full internationals and scored 11 times, making him the most capped player in the nation's story. He was the most known soccer player in Colombia in the team of Rene Higuita, Faustino Asprilla, Freddy Rincon, Adolfo Valencia, Leonel Alvarez, Andres Escobar and many others. Valderrama started his career at Union Magdalena of the Colombian First Division in 1981. Valderrama has since become assistant manager of Atletico Junior. In march 2010, Carlos Valderrama was inducted into the Dean Windass Hall of Fame on the popular London podcast, the Football Ramble.

RENE ADLER RETURNED TO TRAINING

The goalkeeper of Bayer Leverkusen Rene Adler returned back to training today, 10 days after suffering a broken rib.  It remains to be viewed whether the 25 years old will be strong enough for Saturday's clash with Hertha Berlin. Adler, who will be Germany's number one at the 2010 World Cup this summer, picked up the last in the recent 2-1 defeat to Stuttgart.

AJAX AMSTERDAM VS PSV EINDHOVEN HISTORY

There was a time when Dutch football jointers discussing De Klassieker would have simply been citing the rivalry between Ajax and feyenoord, the illustrious clubs of the country's biggest cities, Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Since the start of the Eredivisie in 1956, the record books tell of 106 matches between the two parts, with 46 wins for PSV, 40 for Ajax, and 20 draws. Ibrahimovic started playing football at the age of six, alternating between local junior clubs Malmo BI and FBK Balkan. Once able of running 100 metres in less than 11 seconds, striker Argentina Claudio Caniggia deserves his nickname EL HJO DEL VIENTO (Son of the wind). Football is by far the more popular sport on earth, making the FIFA World cup, one of the most important sporting match around the world. Sporting product manufacturer Adidas, have been responsible for the official FIFA World Cup ball since Mexico 1970, but what did they play with before then? Different ball were used for the first and second halves of the first ever FIFA World Cup Final since 1930. To begin with, the ball was generally produced out of 12 sides, before an 18-piece ball was used at the 1954 FIFA World Cup Final, various versions of which were then in service until 1966. The Development of the football over the next few years carried on with importants constantly trying to invent the better ball. The adidas era started in Mexico 40 years ago, and this was when the balls were first given a name. The TELSTAR was made up of 32 special leather panels which made it the roundest ball its era. After the dURLAST came the TANGO which was way ahead of its time in 1978-so much so that it was used as model for the ball at the next 5 FIFA World Cups. TANGO ESPANA in 1982 saw the advent of the synthetic ball-still produced primarily of leather, but its water resistant polyurethane layer produced it a true things of the high-tech age. AZTECA, ETRUSCO and QUESTRA were the same mould. The TRICOLORE in 1998 was the first coloured ball to be used, while the 2002 and 2006 events were treated to revolutionary FEVERNOVA and TEAMGEIST balls which were cycler, more focus and more durable. Carlos Alberto Tevez born on 5 February 1984, he is an Argentine professional football player who plays as a forward for England club Manchester City.
